When I went to the gallery what I saw didn't really interest me much, mainly because I don't really care for country music, but I did find the history of the people interesting. It was more of a study on hte people within the community and how they act rather than actual music. There were of course important figures from music, but it is about history and how everyone shapes it. I also found his talk to be interesting in the enthusiasm he put in his work.
It is always refreshing to hear someone be informal rather than pretentious of their work and I think I agree with him in that when you want to produce something he should stick to things he finds interesting because at least you'll enjoy it rather than putting yourself through misery.

City of Angels
Jared Leto's short films for his bands music is amazing as always. Great song, great short film, great everything. Really inspiring with the introspection of people's dreams and believing in tomorrow. Having dreams and following it is always difficult, but even if you don't achieve your dreams you should be proud to have even tried. Like the song says, "Dreams aren't made they're won." You have to fight as hard as you can to make your dreams come true.
To me music is something that plays a heavy role in my life. If I had to create segments of who I am I would say it's my Life, Love, Music, & Dreams. Hearing 30STM's latest album always gives me inspiration and I find it fitting that it too is divided into segments into what they think are primary aspects of life Love Lust Faith + Dreams.

Cindy Sherman
Cindy Sherman has never interested me all that much as a photographer. I do admit her concepts are clever and there her ideas are conceptual, but it never really appealed to me. I do think the way she was able to create her style by adapting to her surroundings of being afraid to leave her place as interesting. It's almost like a serendipitous moment and everything just clicks. Her photography definitely deals with the male gaze and how women are affected by it. It's interesting to think that she always uses herself and that by creating these scenarios she also creates realities in which people can reflect on. Men have probably seen these moments before and women have probably experienced it.
